Position Summary
Supports the Plant Manager of American Colors, Inc. by recommending and leading appropriate actions, strategies and/or alternatives relating to the manufacturing process of all products produced at our Lebanon, TN facility.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Reviews, analyzes, and improves manufacturing process
- Solves problems that occur in manufacturing both chemically and mechanically
- Develops and implements production cost reduction programs
- Establishes and monitors quality-based standards
- Trains employees on new or changed processes
- Manages accurate inventory control
- Fosters and administers a proper safety environment.
- Handles customer concerns and issues
- Implements and ensures ISO 9001 procedures and certification
- Fills in for plant manager on an as needed basis.
Qualifications and Skills
- Manufacturing experience preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Computers skills- minimum excel and word
- Good organizational competency
- Exceptional analytical proficiency
- Excellent math skills
- Effective communication skills
- Reliable problem-solving ability
- Must be comfortable integrating new technology into the business environment
