Portland, OR Full Time
POSTED ON 4/19/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 6/19/2026
Facility & Production Manager
  • Full-time position, on-site at 5005 S. Macadam Ave., Portland, OR.
  • Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30PM; occasional additional hours as needed.

Are you the kind of leader who walks into a production facility and immediately sees three things that could run better — and then actually makes them better? Do you thrive when you’re juggling multiple priorities, leading a team, and owning outcomes end to end? Do you care about what you’re producing — not just that boxes go out the door, but that what’s inside them genuinely matters?

If that’s you, ACHS is hiring a Facility & Production Manager to lead our on-site production and fulfillment operations.

At the ACHS, we’re a small, mission-driven team producing and shipping certified organic essential oils, botanicals, and academic lab kits to students and customers across the U.S. and globally. We operate within a GMP-compliant facility, with a strong focus on quality assurance, traceability, and proper handling of natural products.

In this role, you’ll oversee daily order fulfillment, hands-on production, team leadership, inventory storage, and facility operations—ensuring processes meet GMP standards while supporting a high-quality student and customer experience. You’ll also support the end-to-end shipping process for both ACHS student lab kits and retail orders through our Apothecary Shoppe College Store, ensuring accurate kitting, proper packaging, and timely delivery aligned with academic schedules and customer expectations.

Our Portland facility is Oregon Tilth Certified Organic and GMP-compliant; you’ll be the operational leader responsible for upholding these standards every day.

Why This Role Stands Out
  • You’ll have genuine ownership and autonomy: this is not a role where you wait for direction. You set the pace.
  • Direct reporting line to the President — your voice will be heard, and your ideas will matter.
  • You’ll work with meaningful products: certified organic essential oils, botanicals, and academic lab kits that support integrative health students worldwide.
  • A mission-driven B Corporation environment where sustainability and quality are core values, not talking points.
  • A small, dedicated team that shows up, cares, and gets things done.

What You’ll OwnDaily Operations & Fulfillment
  • Ensure accurate, on-time daily fulfillment of student lab kits, retail orders, and outgoing shipments.
  • Hands-on production when needed: measuring and bottling essential oils, weighing and packaging dried herbs, preparing blends and kit components.
  • Process student and retail orders quickly and accurately; respond to fulfillment requests and customer inquiries with timely, solutions-oriented communication.
  • Coordinating the daily schedule for production and shipping.
  • Verify materials, supplies, and natural product inventory are prepped and ready for production in partnership with the Procurement & Inventory Director.
  • Serve as the primary on-site contact for facility vendors: maintenance, recycling, supplies, and service providers.
  • Respond to production and fulfillment requests and customer emails with timely solutions or updates.
  • Manage incoming facility mail and route it efficiently.
  • Manage incoming returns, assess condition, and coordinate credits and restocking.

Team Leadership
  • Supervise, coach, mentor, and motivate the production team to maintain accuracy, speed, and quality.
  • Set clear expectations, support training, and keep the team focused, energized, and on schedule.
  • Identify and implement process improvements that reduce waste, improve efficiency, and reinforce ACHS’s sustainability values — then follow through.

Inventory, Quality & Compliance
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate restocking proactively with the Procurement & Inventory Director.
  • Partner with the QA Manager and GMP and Quality Assurance Coordinator to uphold quality standards, labeling accuracy, and compliance requirements.
  • Participate in physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, organized facility that reflects our standards and values.
