Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Operations Assistant to support day-to-day import/export operations, customs entry processing, and trade documentation management. This position is well-suited for candidates who are eager to develop a long-term career in customs brokerage and international trade.
Key Responsibilities:
· File customs entries in ACE and ensure timely submission
· Prepare and submit ISF (ocean shipments)
· Prepare CBP entry documentation, including CBP Form 3461 (cargo release) and CBP Form 7501 (entry summary/duty)
· Generate invoices and maintain billing documentation
· Prepare, review, and organize import/export documents (commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading, etc.)
· Support HTS classification and accurate system data entry
· Coordinate with freight forwarders, clients, and CBP as needed to resolve issues and obtain required information
· Validate shipment details and documentation accuracy from clients and freight forwarders
· Maintain complete and accurate records in accordance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements
Qualifications:
· High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
· 0–3 years of experience in logistics, import/export operations, or customs brokerage
· Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time-management skills
· Working knowledge of ACE; familiarity with Descartes CHB systems is a plus
· Bilingual in English and Chinese preferred
Pay: From $35,000.00 per year
