What are the responsibilities and job description for the Airline Reservation Specialist position at American Classic Tours?
American Classic Tours is a family-owned and operated; 38-year-old company located in the Chicago area. Our mission is to empower 55 adults to make their travel dreams a reality on our artfully crafted, all-inclusive tours throughout America & Europe.
As we continue to grow, we are looking to add an Airline Reservations Agent.
Description of Role:
· This is a full-time position.
· This is preferably an in-office position, however hybrid/remote work may be a possibility for highly-qualified candidates.
· Book airfare.
· Book home pickup limousine service and airport transfers.
· Book pre & post hotel stays.
· Assist clients in making reservations and payments over the phone.
· Manage client invoicing, final payment reminders and cancellations.
· Help clients prepare for their upcoming tours by answering questions they have about trip.
· Prepare trip documents for clients that they will take with them on tour.
Job Requirements:
· You must have experience with a GDS system, preferably Sabre.
· You must be a great team player - we have a fast-growing, tight-knit team of 15 people on our staff. We pride ourselves on having an empowering and supportive culture. To fit in with our team, you need to have the following characteristics:

· You must deliver excellent customer service that’s rooted in kindness and the desire to provide value to the lives of (55 ) adults – the majority of your time will be spent speaking with and serving our customers so you must:

· Be service-oriented
· Have a basic understanding of Microsoft Office/Google Docs
· Have good interpersonal skills
