What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Control Inspector position at American Classic Homes, LLC?
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Residential Build Quality Control Inspector to join our growing construction team in the Jacksonville area. You will be responsible for walking active residential job sites, evaluating the structural and finish quality of homes, and ensuring all work complies with Florida building codes, safety standards, and our internal quality guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct Field Inspections: Perform daily/weekly walkthroughs of residential construction sites for turnover to homeowner/investor.
- Verify Specifications: Ensure all work adheres to approved blueprints, design features and quality standards.
- Document Deficiencies: Identify, photograph, and log defects, poor workmanship, or safety hazards.
- Coordinate Corrections: Communicate directly with Project Managers and superintendents to mandate and verify corrective actions.
- Maintain Reporting: Log comprehensive inspection results, update quality databases, and prepare deficiency reports.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years of hands-on experience in residential construction, quality assurance, or as a site superintendent.
- Skills: Ability to read and interpret blueprints, architectural drawings, and precise site specifications.
- Tech Savvy: Proficient with construction quality software
- Physical Requirements: Must be comfortable walking construction sites, and working outdoors in various Florida weather conditions.
- Transportation: Valid Florida Driver's License and reliable transportation to travel between local Jacksonville-area job sites daily.
Pay: $800.00 - $1,000.00 per week
