Description
The Procurement Project Coordinator is responsible for overseeing procurement and vendor compliance by regularly evaluating processes and identifying potential risks or areas for improvement. This role will collaborate with various departments to foster a strong compliance culture, managing vendor relationships to ensure contractual and regulatory adherence, and leading efforts to address any compliance issues promptly. The Procurement Project Coordinator is responsible for developing and updating compliance procedures and continuously enhancing vendor management practices to align with current regulations and company standards.
Job Responsibilities: (OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED)
- Conduct regular audits of procurement activities and compliance risk assessments to identify areas for improvement or potential vulnerabilities.
- Prepare and present compliance reports to management, highlighting risks and recommendations.
- Review and analyze property procurement processes to ensure adherence to compliance regulations.
- Serve as a point of contact for compliance-related inquiries from internal stakeholders to include, but not limited to: Department Business Leaders, Accounting, Marketing, HR, etc. and vendors.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to include, but not limited to legal, audit, risk management, etc. to promote a culture of compliance within the Company.
- Develop, document, and implement compliance procedures related to vendor management, property and organizational compliance.
- Assist with leading investigations into compliance violations and propose solutions to ensure timely resolution, necessary changes, and appropriate documentation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors to foster collaboration and ensure smooth communication.
- Evaluate and monitor vendor compliance with contractual obligations and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular assessments of vendor performance and compliance metrics.
- Collaborate with procurement and legal teams to ensure vendor agreements meet compliance standards.
- Track and assess vendor performance against agreed Service Level Agreements (SLA), Key Performance Indicators (KPI), and contractual obligations and address/resolve any vendor-related issues, disputes, or service interruptions promptly and effectively.
- Monitor and manage vendor system tools including implementation, training, and monitoring use and compliance.
- Identify opportunities to improve vendor processes, service delivery, and overall vendor management practices.
- Ensure that all procedures are up-to-date with current regulations and best practices.
- Assist with providing training and support to staff on compliance procedures and requirements.
- Assist in the development of strategies to mitigate compliance risks and update company material as needed for ongoing education.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration , or a related field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2 years of experience in procurement, project coordination, and/or compliance monitoring.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Suite.
