Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately construct cabinetry and wood fixtures.
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install custom cabinets, doors, trim, and related woodwork using hand tools and power tools.
- Fabricate components with precision to ensure seamless fitting and finish quality.
- Perform restoration work on existing cabinetry, including repairs, refinishing, and water damage restoration.
- Install fixtures such as countertops, hardware, moldings, siding, and other finishing elements.
- Conduct heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks safely while adhering to safety protocols on construction sites.
- Collaborate with project managers and clients to ensure timely completion of projects that meet specifications.
Requirements
- Proven experience in cabinetry construction, trim carpentry, frame carpentry, or related fields within the construction or restoration industry.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings; familiarity with CNC (Computer Numerical Control) fabrication is a plus.
- Skilled in using hand tools (saws, chisels, hammers), power tools (drills, sanders), and heavy machinery for precise woodworking tasks.
- Knowledge of construction estimating, metal stud framing, drywall installation (including plastering), flooring installation, tile laying, roofing, masonry or plumbing is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently; experience with concrete forming or rebar installation is beneficial.
- Strong understanding of schematics for fixture installation and electrical or plumbing experience preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality craftsmanship; ability to read technical plans accurately.
- Valid experience working on construction sites with a commitment to safety standards; water damage restoration or mold remediation experience is a bonus.
