ABIM is currently seeking a Performance Analytics Specialist to join their newly created Emerging Technology department. The Performance Analytics Specialist supports the Emerging Technologies Department by driving data-informed decision-making across the innovation portfolio. This role defines and tracks key performance indicators (KPIs), develops stage-gate frameworks, and evaluates project progress to ensure innovation initiatives deliver measurable impact. The specialist translates data into actionable insights, supports governance and reporting, and partners with cross-functional teams to optimize pilots and scale successful solutions. The role also contributes to responsible AI practices, including compliance, ethics, and bias monitoring across innovation efforts.
Reporting to the Manager, Innovation Portfolio, the Performance Analytics Specialist has the following primary responsibilities:
- Performance Measurement & KPI Development: Define and maintain KPIs, success metrics, and exit criteria aligned to innovation initiatives.
- Portfolio Analytics & Reporting: Track portfolio performance using dashboards and reports; prepare executive-ready summaries.
- Stage-Gate & Roadmap Development: Design stage-gate frameworks and contribute to innovation roadmaps and prioritization.
- Analytics-Driven Insights: Analyze data to identify trends and provide actionable recommendations for improvement.
- Continuous Improvement: Implement feedback loops and process improvement plans.
- AI Governance Support: Assist in monitoring AI initiatives for compliance, ethical risks, and bias considerations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Innovation Portfolio, Innovation Science, and technical teams to embed analytics into execution.
Requirements for this role include a Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Statistics, Information Systems, or related field or a related field. A minimum of 3 years’ experience in analytics, performance measurement, or business intelligence roles is required.
Experience in healthcare or regulated environments preferred; experience in innovation or product teams a plus.
A demonstrated knowledge of the following software, languages, and tools as listed below are necessary to succeed in this role: python, low code or no code solutions (Zapier, Power Automate), project management platforms (Monday.com, Jira), data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau), and LLMS (Claude, ChatGPT).
This role is based in our offices at 510 Walnut Street, Philadelphia PA, with the ability to work remotely three days a week. Our technology and facility teams provide and support a seamless hybrid work environment for all employees.
