Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented CNC Supervisor to lead our machining operations and ensure the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and safety. In this role, you will oversee the setup, programming, and operation of various CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines, including CNC lathes, milling machines, and 5-axis CNC machines. . The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency with CAD/CAM software, and previous machinist.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily CNC machining operations, ensuring production schedules are met with precision and efficiency
- Set up machining tools and fixtures on CNC lathes, milling machines, and 5-axis CNC machines while adhering to engineering blueprints and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards
- Conduct tooling selection, inspection, and maintenance to optimize machine performance and product quality
- Lead troubleshooting efforts for CNC equipment issues related to Fanuc controls, electrical discharge machining (EDM), or other advanced machining techniques
- Perform precision measurements using bore gauges, calipers, micrometers, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and other measurement instruments to verify part accuracy
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to streamline processes, reduce waste, and improve overall productivity
Skills
- Extensive experience with CNC operation on various machines including CNC lathe, milling machine, and 5-axis CNC systems
- Proficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA for engineering design and blueprint interpretation
- Strong understanding of GD&T principles for mechanical blueprint reading and quality control measurement techniques
- Knowledge of Fanuc controls for machine programming and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with CAM software for toolpath generation and machining process optimization
- Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of metal machining processes including electrical discharge machining (EDM)
- Ability to interpret mechanical blueprints accurately and set up machining tools accordingly
- Experience with measurement tools such as bore gauges, calipers, micrometers, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), bore gauges, bore gauges for precise quality control
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices to foster continuous improvement in production workflows
- Strong problem-solving skills combined with excellent communication abilities to lead a team effectively
Pay: $27.60 - $33.24 per hour
