- This job is a member of the Labor Relations Team within the Corporate Affairs Division.
- Responsible for maintaining working partnerships with operational areas, which have organized work groups for the purpose of implementing, maintaining, and administering collective bargaining agreements.
- Provides prompt and effective support on labor-related issues to management within multiple corporate departments
- Manages disputes and negotiates resolutions between union representatives and management
- Negotiates new work rules for organized employee groups
- Manages the administration and interpretation of labor agreements for assigned work group
- Provides support for grievance handling up to and including arbitration
- Develops and maintains responsible relationships with labor organizations representing assigned work group
- Ability to travel
Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Relations, or related field or equivalent experience/training
- 5 years experience in HR, Labor Relations, or operational management of unionized employees
- 2 years in a supervisory/management position
- Experience or formal training in early dispute resolution strategy
- Previous contract administration and negotiation experience
- Advanced degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Relations, or related field or Human Resources certification
- Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels
- Ability to quickly respond to change and communicate new directions to client groups
