POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Coordination and management of the Medical Staff Services office
administrative duties. Maintenance of the Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules, Regulations, Fair Hearing Plan and related Policy and
Procedures. Coordinates the Medical Executive Committee, Fair Hearing, Health and Well Being, and Institutional review
proceedings. Coordinate, integration, and assessment of the physician quality improvement program. Directs and supervises
the credentialing / privileging processes and system including development of credential / privileging forms. Serves as an
advisor to the Medical Staff, Hospital Staff and Hospital Administration on various subjects related to medical staff affairs .
Produce Department / Committee agendas, packets, minutes, follow up, and develop a variety of correspondence. Develops
a variety of reports. An active member of the Staff Development Committee to assist in coordination of Medical Staff
continuing educational needs. Serves on the Regulatory compliance team with working knowledge of TJC, State and
Federal standards as well as laws specifically related to the Medical Staff office. Must be able to perform jobs in operational
areas subject to reasonable accommodations. This is a non-union position.

A. Supports department/hospital culture, goals, and management to contribute to the organizational goals.
B. Assists with clarifying job roles and interview process.
C. Assists with leading and documenting unit meetings.
D. Conducts, documents, and recommends disciplinary action.
E. Assists with the performance appraisal process.
F. Monitors and adjusts staffing levels on a continual basis - addresses and corrects variances due to census/wpd.

E. Monitors cost-effective use of materials and supplies.
F. Recommends ways to reduce inventory/costs.
G. Monitors documentation of care and established charge methodology.
VII. Coaching and Development
A. Facilitates and coordinates opportunities for staff to grow clinically/technically and professionally.
B. Assures orientation of and coaches immediate subordinates. Gives feedback, critiques ideas, and helps problem
solve.
