Position Overview
America’s Home Place is seeking a motivated entry-level Project Manager to join our construction team.
This role is designed for recent graduates in Construction Management or related fields who are ready to take ownership of real projects in the field. You will be responsible for managing multiple residential home builds from foundation through completion while learning how to lead subcontractors, manage schedules, and ensure quality standards are met.
You will receive structured training and direct mentorship, with increasing responsibility as you develop in the role.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage 5–7 residential construction projects at various stages of completion
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and inspections across multiple job sites
- Monitor project schedules, job progress, and construction quality standards
- Read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and building documents
- Ensure compliance with building codes, safety standards, and company requirements
- Communicate regularly with homeowners, trade partners, and internal teams
- Maintain accurate job documentation, schedules, and daily project updates
- Identify and resolve field issues to keep projects on track
Training & Development
- Formal onboarding and structured training program
- Hands-on field experience across all phases of residential construction
- Direct mentorship from experienced construction and operations leaders
- Exposure to estimating, scheduling, warranty, and production processes
- Clear path for advancement within construction management roles
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field
- Strong understanding of construction processes and terminology
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Effective communication and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency with Google Suite (scheduling or construction software a plus)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
