We're looking for a detail-oriented Benefits Analyst to join our HR team. In this role, you'll be the go-to resource for associates navigating their benefits — processing enrollments, auditing billing, and keeping everything running smoothly from open enrollment to 401(k) compliance.
What You'll Do
Benefits administration
- Help associates understand benefits offerings and their associated costs
- Verify eligibility and audit enrollment for all plan participants
- Communicate benefits changes to carriers for new hires, terminations, and life events
- Manage evidence of insurability (EOI) forms and follow up to ensure coverage updates reach payroll
- Review coverage change requests to confirm qualifying events under Section 125
- Oversee Open Enrollment and ensure all eligible associates participate
- Audit and process monthly carrier billings accurately and on time
- Review associate payroll deductions to verify accuracy
- Report billing information to the accounting department with proper coding
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of applicable federal and state benefits regulations
- Prepare and submit monthly HR reports
- Answer associate questions about the 401(k) plan
- Assist the Compliance Manager with 401(k) audits and plan management
- Track FMLA leaves as they relate to benefits and insurance plan billing
- Comfort working with benefits carriers, brokers, and vendors to resolve billing and coverage issues
- Strong attention to detail — you catch discrepancies others miss
- Reliable daily attendance and ability to manage time-sensitive deadlines
- Clear communicator who can translate benefits jargon for associates
