Essential Functions
The Assembly Clerk employee assemble studs and nuts together, properly package, tag, and stage for shipment.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures including Health, Safety and Quality Assurance policies.
- Report injuries, accidents, near misses or unsafe conditions to a Supervisor or Manager immediately.
- Assemble finished products and prepare them for shipment
- Arrange and pack all necessary pieces into boxes as specified in work instructions.
- Count and check products for accuracy, maintain accurate records
- Pack products while adhering to procedures
- Tag material as required with proper labelling, per work instructions
- Stage material as required, for loading and/or shipment to the customer
- Perform quality checks on products and parts, by identifying Head Stamps for manufacturer marks and grade of fastener.
- Other duties as assigned
- Ability to pass a basic reading, math, measurement, parts matching and counting test
- Able to read, understand, interpret and follow detailed work instructions and manufacturing specifications
- Ability to adjust to changes without compromising Quality or Performance
- Must be able to work a shift schedule and overtime as needed, including weekends
- Must be able to stand for the duration of scheduled shift
- Moderate physical effort handling parts.
- Equivalent to frequently exerting average effort.
- Ability to manually load or unload materials onto or off of pallets, skids, platforms, saws, and trucks.
- Able to lift items weighing up 50 lbs repetitively
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception and Ability to adjust focus
- Manual dexterity using hands, fingers, and arms to push, pull, reach, grab, hold, lift, and hammer
- Continuous mental and visual attention in cleaning. Diversified duties requiring constant alertness or activity
- Manufacturing environment with multi step process production runs on different machines.
- High value highly customized components, long and large parts, and high precision manufacturing for critical service applications
- Noise Level: Moderate to High
- Temperature variable with season
