Responsibilities
As a Strength Training Facility Buildout Technician, you will execute commercial and premium residential gym installations under the direction of our project lead. This is a hands-on technical role for individuals who take pride in precision work and want to grow within a specialized trade.
• Assemble and install commercial strength equipment including racks, selectorized machines, functional trainers, and accessories
• Perform structural wall and floor mounting in accordance with specifications and safety standards
• Execute full facility buildouts from delivery through final commissioning
• Maintain clean, professional job sites and communicate clearly with clients
• Assist with logistics, inventory handling, and equipment staging
• Follow engineered installation methods — accuracy is mandatory, not optional
Qualifications
Required
• Mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand and power tools
• Ability to lift 75 lbs repeatedl/safely and work in physically demanding environments
• High attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and professionalism on client sites
• Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation
Preferred (but not required)
• Experience with gym equipment installation, construction, carpentry, electrical, or mechanical trades
• Ability to read measurements, layouts, and basic diagrams
• Interest in fitness equipment, engineering, or facility infrastructure
• Desire to grow into a lead technician or project supervisor role
