- Local Pay Rate: $50–$60/hour (candidates within 50 miles)
- Travel Package: $2,500/week (candidates over 50 miles)
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 37.5 hours/week
- Caseload: To be discussed in interviews
- Start Date: Beginning of the 2026–2027 academic year

The Special Education Teacher demonstrates a strong commitment to collaboration and teamwork in the planning and implementation of student programs. Responsibilities include delivering specialized instruction, providing tutorial assistance, and consulting with general education staff to support student success.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
- Valid state teaching certification in Special Education (required)
- Mild/Moderate Special Education Credential (required)
- Minimum of 1–2 years of teaching experience preferred
- State Teacher Certification (Elementary, Secondary, or Special Education preferred)
- Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred
- Compliance with all professional standards of practice
- Current CPR certification, if applicable
- TB test, PPD, or chest X-ray as required
- Current health certificate per contract or state regulation
- Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
