Responsibilities
- Deliver specialized instruction to K–12 students with mild to moderate needs
- Develop, implement, and manage IEP goals, accommodations, and service minutes
- Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet individual learning needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers
- Maintain accurate, compliant documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Support academic, behavioral, and social-emotional student progress
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred)
- Valid California teaching credential aligned to Special Education requirements
- Standard Elementary Teaching (preferred)
- Standard Secondary Teaching (preferred)
- Standard Special Teaching (preferred)
- Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) or equivalent endorsement (preferred)
- Minimum one year of teaching experience (preferred)
- Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
- Current CPR certification (if applicable)
- TB Questionnaire, PPD test, or chest X-ray (as required)
- Current health certificate (as required)
- Must be at least 18 years of age
