What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN Psych Needed ASAP position at Amergis Healthcare Staffing?
The Psychiatric/Mental Health (PMH) Registered Nurse, requires a wide range of nursing, psychosocial, and neurobiological expertise. PMH nurses promote well-being through prevention and education, in addition to the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health and substance use disorders. The nurse demonstrates ability to make clinical judgments in an effective and efficient manner and demonstrates critical thinking and performance ability in the coordination of patient care. The PMH RN works in a variety of settings and provides comprehensive care to individuals, families, and communities when applicable.
Minimum Requirements
Current Registered Nurse Licensure in-state practicing
Current CPR if applicable
TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age

Position A)
Days 7am-7pm: primarily on adult units. Monday, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays.
Position B)
Days 7am-7pm: primarily on adult units. Sundays, Mondays, and Wednesdays.
Position C)
Days 7am-7pm: mixed units. Sundays, Wednesdays, Thursdays.
Shifts: Days & Nights Available
Shift Days: None
Hours per Week: 36
Contract Length: 13 Week(s)
Start Date: 04/14/2026
Details of Assignment: CSU/ Detox Facility. Adult and Adolescent patients ALL candidates must be open to floating to ALL units. no exceptions. Rejecting to do assigned units will lead to cancellation. Duties include: assessments, med pass, restraining patient when needed. documentation and charting etc. Nurse should expect to be hands on, with it being a crisis center that receives baker act patients.
THIS CENSUS CAN FLUCUATE ON A DAILY BASIS, DUE TO BE BEING A BAKER ACT FACILITY THAT CANNOT TURN AWAY PATIENT. NURSES MUCH BE PREPARED TO DEAL WITH HIGH PATIENT RATIOS PERIODICALLY- THAT BEING SAID PROCESS AND PROCEDURES ARE IN PLAN WHEN THIS HAPPENS.
