Amergis Educational Staffing is partnering with schools in the Fall River area to hire dedicated Paraprofessionals for the 2026-2027 school year. Openings are available across elementary, middle, and high school settings, with schedules varying by grade level.
Position Details
- Monday-Friday
- 32.5 hours per week
- $25.00/hour
- Multiple school-based opportunities available
Responsibilities May Include:
- Supporting students with autism and other developmental disabilities
- Assisting students who are non-verbal, have limited verbal communication, or use communication devices
- Providing behavioral support for students who may demonstrate non-compliance, aggression, or elopement behaviors
- Supporting students with social-emotional, behavioral, and therapeutic needs
- Assisting students in both specialized classroom settings and inclusive general education environments
- Encouraging academic progress, independence, and positive peer interactions
- Collaborating with teachers and special education staff to help students achieve individualized goals
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience working with children, adolescents, or individuals with special needs preferred
- Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a school-based team

The School Aide is an individual who works with students requiring instructional, and/or behavioral assistance under the supervision of the special education department, teacher and/or supervising designee. The School Aide may also provide support services to assist students with personal, physical mobility and therapeutic care needs, as established by a rehabilitation health practitioner, social worker or other health care professional.
Minimum Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Comply with all relevant professional standards of practice
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
