Amergis Healthcare Staffing has partnered with a school district in Duxbury, MA to hire 2 Paraprofessionals to support middle school students (grades 6-8) in an inclusion setting.
Position Details
- Location: Duxbury, MA
- Schedule: 32 hours per week
- Contract Length: 39 weeks
- Start Date: August 31, 2026

The Paraprofessional will provide academic, behavioral, and social-emotional support to middle school students within the general education classroom. This role focuses on helping students develop emotional regulation skills, maintain classroom engagement, and achieve success in an inclusive learning environment.
Responsibilities- Support students with social-emotional and behavioral needs
- Reinforce coping strategies, emotional regulation, and classroom expectations
- Provide academic and behavioral support in the inclusion setting
- Assist with implementing behavior support plans
- Monitor student safety and well-being throughout the school day
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and support staff
- Communicate observations and student progress with the educational team
- Experience working with students with social-emotional or behavioral needs preferred
- Experience supporting middle school students (grades 6-8) preferred
- Previous experience in a school or inclusion setting is a plus
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff

The School Aide is an individual who works with students requiring instructional, and/or behavioral assistance under the supervision of the special education department, teacher and/or supervising designee. The School Aide may also provide support services to assist students with personal, physical mobility and therapeutic care needs, as established by a rehabilitation health practitioner, social worker or other health care professional.
Minimum Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Comply with all relevant professional standards of practice
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
