We are seeking ESY Special Education Teachers to support the ABLES Program during the extended school year. This role is ideal for educators with experience or interest in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and working with students who have significant developmental needs.

Summer Program Goals
During the summer ESY session, the primary goal is to prevent regression by continuing students’ individualized programs. Teachers will have the opportunity to collaborate with classroom teachers during the final week of the school year to review IEPs and ensure continuity of instruction.

The program is grounded in ABA principles and utilizes evidence-based instructional strategies, including:
- Discrete Trial Training (DTT)
- Incidental teaching
- Social skills curriculum
- Positive Behavior Support Plans
Summer Program Goals
During the summer ESY session, the primary goal is to prevent regression by continuing students’ individualized programs. Teachers will have the opportunity to collaborate with classroom teachers during the final week of the school year to review IEPs and ensure continuity of instruction.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university preferred
- Valid state teaching certificate as required by state, contract/district regulations
- Minimum of one year experience in teaching environment preferred
- State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Elementary Teaching preferred
- State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Secondary Teaching preferred
- State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Special Teaching preferred
- Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred
- Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
