Part-time COTA needed for schools in El Monte, CA!
Key Responsibilities
Deliver occupational therapy services as directed by the supervising OT.
Support students in areas such as handwriting, sensory integration, and adaptive equipment use.
Document therapy sessions and student progress per school and state guidelines.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to meet IEP goals.
Assist in adapting classroom activities and materials to meet student needs.
Participate in IEP meetings and provide input on student progress.
Maintain accurate, confidential records and ensure compliance with Amergis and district policies.
Minimum Requirements
Associate Degree from an ACOTE-accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
Current NBCOT certification as a COTA.
Active California state license to practice as a COTA.
CPR certification.
Minimum 1–2 years of pediatric or school-based experience preferred.
Strong communication and documentation skills.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Completion of Amergis’ Competency Program and new hire training.
Compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality standards.
Current PPD or chest X-ray and health certificate (as required).
