What are the responsibilities and job description for the Billing Specialist position at Amergis Healthcare Staffing?
The Billing Specialist will support the organization’s accounts receivable process by representing claims for payment to the appropriate payer. Billing Specialist will also perform medical collections and invoicing to patients, providers and medical facilities.
Minimum Requirements:
A minimum of 3 years working experience in the areas of computerized billing
systems and bookkeeping.
Possess a high school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED). Associate's degree in Accounting preferred.
3 to 5 years of experience in health care and/or high volume accounts payable
- Knowledge of electronic billing and submission process
- Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
