A School-Based SLP helps students overcome speech, language, and communication challenges that impact learning and social development. They work closely with educators, families, and support staff to ensure students receive effective, individualized services.
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders
Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
Provide direct therapy to students in areas like articulation, fluency, and language comprehension
Collaborate with teachers and parents to support classroom integration
Participate in IEP meetings and maintain detailed progress records
Educate staff and families on strategies to support communication development
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
CA State licensure and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
Experience in school settings preferred
Salary : $11,000 - $13,000
