Special Education Teacher – Full-Time School-Based Contract Location: Northern Colorado Springs, CO Pay: $54/hour (local) or $2,213/week (travel, including stipends) Schedule: 37.5 hours/week, Monday–Friday Contract Length: Full 2025–2026 School Year (starting August) Empower Students. In this full-time contract role, you’ll provide high-quality instruction and support to K–12 students with diverse learning needs, working closely with general education staff and administrators to ensure student success. Role Responsibilities Deliver individualized instruction and support to students with special needs Participate in IEP planning and implementation Provide tutorial assistance and consult with general education staff Foster a positive, inclusive, and growth-oriented classroom environment Collaborate with the Special Education Program Administrator and multidisciplinary teams Contract Details Local Rate: $54/hour Travel Rate: $2,213/week (includes stipends and full benefits) Schedule: Monday–Friday, 37.5 hours/week Start Date: August 2025 Licensure: Must hold or be eligible for a Colorado Special Education Generalist License Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (preferred) Valid state teaching certificate (as required by state or district) At least one year of teaching experience (preferred) Preferred certifications: Standard Elementary Teaching Standard Secondary Teaching Standard Special Teaching Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) CPR certification (if applicable) TB test or chest X-ray (if applicable) Current health certificate (if required by contract or state) Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements Must be at least 18 years old Why Choose Amergis?
