Machine Operation
- Set up and operate press brakes and roll forming machines after the training period.
- Load and secure sheet metal, tooling, and fixtures into machines.
- Perform machine adjustments, tool changes, and program offsets as needed.
- Monitor machine operations to ensure parts meet quality and dimensional requirements.
- Assist in troubleshooting forming issues and suggest corrective actions.
Quality & Inspection
- Read and interpret blueprints, flat patterns, and bend diagrams.
- Verify part accuracy using calipers, protractors, height gages, and other precision measuring tools.
- Conduct and document in-process and final inspections according to company standards.
- Maintain accurate records for quality and production.
Operational Responsibilities
- Perform daily machine checks, including hydraulic levels, lubrication, and overall condition.
- Report equipment issues or malfunctions immediately to supervisors or maintenance personnel.
- Follow all operational procedures accurately and consistently.
- Participate in training to improve forming skills and technical knowledge.
- Suggest and support process improvements to increase efficiency, quality, and safety.
Physical Requirements
- Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Frequently lift and carry 20–50 lbs.
- Perform pushing, pulling, twisting, squatting, and stooping motions regularly.
- Reach, grasp, and perform repetitive movements continuously.
