Job Overview
We’re looking for reliable Asbestos Project Monitors to support field operations across environmental and construction sites. This role is ideal for motivated individuals interested in environmental monitoring, air sampling, and project oversight. Paid training is provided — certification is not required to start! This is a great opportunity for hands-on field experience and career growth.
Hourly Pay: $19.00–$20.50 plus paid training
Key Responsibilities
- Collect air samples and perform real-time environmental monitoring
- Provide on-site oversight of asbestos abatement contractors
- Conduct visual inspections of regulated work areas
- Complete daily documentation and required project paperwork
- Communicate professionally with contractors, team members, and regulatory agencies
- Travel throughout the WNY region to support project assignments
- Opportunities for cross-training and additional certifications based on performance
Schedule
- Typical hours: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (varies by project)
- Occasional evenings, weekends, and overtime required
Qualifications
Required
- Valid NYS driver’s license and reliable vehicle
- Ability to pass an OSHA physical & respirator fit test
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Strong organizational, communication, and record-keeping skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred
- 2 years experience in construction, environmental fieldwork, or abatement
- NYSDOL Asbestos Project Monitor Certification (preferred but not required — training provided)
