Job Description

• As a Project Monitor, you will be responsible for providing on-site oversight of asbestos abatement projects to ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
• This role is vital in supporting public health and safety by monitoring abatement activities, performing air sampling, and documenting project compliance throughout the duration of the work.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site oversight of asbestos abatement projects
• Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations
• Monitor abatement activities
• Perform air sampling
• Document project compliance throughout the duration of the work
• Collect air samples
• Complete field documentation
• Work independently while supporting public health and safety

Essential Skills

• Experience with asbestos inspection
• Knowledge of hazardous material handling
• Experience in construction
• Comfortable working in the field (Buildings)
• Valid NYS driver’s license and vehicle
• Available weekdays and occasionally on weekends
• Comfortable working around contractors
• Previous construction experience
• Asbestos certificate
• Knowledge of EPA lead and regulations
• Experience with abatement and inspection
• Construction management
• OSHA 40 certification
• HAZWOPER certification

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• NYSDOL Asbestos Project Monitor certification or willingness to obtain through paid training
• Knowledge of NYSDOL Industrial Code Rule 56
• Preferred experience with asbestos air sampling and project monitoring
• EPA Lead certification

Work Environment

• This role primarily involves fieldwork, where you will be working on-site at various buildings.
• You will be part of a family-like culture with opportunities for certification and professional growth.
• Work hours are primarily weekdays with occasional weekend duties.
• A valid NYS driver’s license and vehicle are required for travel between sites.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tonawanda, NY.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $25.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Tonawanda,NY.
