Utility Cable Placement Technician

**Job Summary:**
Amcomm Incorporated is seeking a Utility Cable Placement Technician to join our team. The primary responsibilities of this role include installing, maintaining, and repairing utility cables for various systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

**Responsibilities:**

1. Install and repair underground utility cables according to specifications.
2. Outside plant fiber and copper placement.
3. Handhole and manhole work.
4. Dig ups, and duct repair.
5. Building hits and interior fiber placements.
6. Perform regular maintenance on existing utility cable systems.
7. Utilize technical equipment and tools to test and troubleshoot cable systems.
8. Adhere to safety standards and procedures while working on utility cable installations.
9. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure project deadlines are met.
10. Keep detailed records of work completed and materials used.

**Qualifications:**

1. . High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Proven experience in utility cable placement or a related field.
3. Knowledge of industry safety practices and guidelines.
4. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
5. Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
6. Physical fitness and the ability to work in various outdoor conditions.
7. Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

1. Certification in utility cable installation or a related field.
2. Excavator experience is a plus.
3. CDL prefered.
4. Experience with specific types of utility cable systems.
5. Proficiency in operating specialized tools and equipment.
