Responsibilities:
As a Registered Nurse on our Pre-Op/PACU team, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our patients. Your day will be filled with a mix of pre-operative preparation, surgical support, and post-anesthesia care. Your attention to detail and ability to stay organized will be crucial in maintaining accurate records and coordinating with other healthcare professionals. In the Pre-Operative/PACU setting, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. Your duties will include:
* Pre-operative assessment and preparation of patients, including taking vital signs, reviewing medical history, and educating patients on the surgical process and post-operative care
* Providing post-anesthesia care, including monitoring vital signs, assessing pain levels, and administering medications as needed
* Providing emotional support and education to patients and families during the recovery process
* Maintaining accurate and detailed records of patient care, including charting and reporting as required
* Participating in quality improvement initiatives and performance improvement projects to continually refine processes and provide the best possible care
Requirements:
- Current RN license in the state of Utah
- At least one year of experience as a Registered Nurse in a Pre-Op/PACU setting
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
