Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Admissions Specialist to join our Admissions team. In this role, you will support the student enrollment process, review applications, evaluate transcripts, and assist in admissions decisions. The ideal candidate is an effective communicator, proficient in student information systems, and has a passion for guiding students through the admissions journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate effectively via phone, email, and in-person with prospective students, current students, colleagues, and third parties.
- Review and process student applications, ensuring compliance with admissions requirements.
- Evaluate academic transcripts for degree and course equivalency.
- Prepare and enter Transfer of Credit (TOC) data into the Student Information System (SIS).
- Participate in the Admission Review Committee, collaborating with department heads and deans on admissions decisions, portfolio reviews, advanced placement, GPA appeals, and returning student evaluations.
- Maintain accurate student records in SIS (Anthology Student) and CRM (Element451).
- Review enrollment data and generate reports to support departmental goals.
- Maintain electronic student files and ensure compliance with institutional policies.
- Serve as Designated School Official (DSO) and Alternate Responsible Officer (ARO) for SEVP compliance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in recruitment, sales, customer service, account management, or relationship management, preferably in a college or higher education setting.
- Strong knowledge of admissions processes and best practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with SIS (Anthology Student) and CRM (Element451) or comparable systems.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
- Experience with SEVP regulations and international student compliance is a plus.
