OverviewAmbition 24 Hours Inc is building a pool of qualified Occupational Therapist candidates for upcoming assignments at state-operated facilities across Texas, including inpatient psychiatric hospitals, residential facilities supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), and an adolescent psychiatric treatment center. We are recruiting now so we can offer you work quickly as and when roles come in.
Assignment type- PRN (as-needed) shifts to start
- Short-term and long-term contract assignments will also become available
- Flexible scheduling: pick up the shifts and assignments that suit you
Help individuals build and keep the skills they need for daily living.
Key responsibilities- Evaluate functional, sensory and fine motor needs
- Develop and deliver occupational therapy treatment plans
- Recommend adaptive equipment, positioning and environmental changes
- Train staff on supports and document progress
- Active Texas Occupational Therapist license
- NBCOT certification
- Experience with IDD, psychiatric or long-term care populations preferred
- Ability to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, TB screening and any immunization requirements set by the facility
- Willingness to complete facility orientation and required training before your first shift
Hourly pay
- Standard: $58.20 – $67.90 per hour
- Weekend: $60.00 – $70.00 per hour
- Holiday: $87.30 – $101.85 per hour
- Call-Back: $87.60 – $102.20 per hour
Your rate within each range depends on your experience, credentials and the assignment.
Holiday hours run from 12:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. on the holiday.
Hours over 40 in a week are worked only when scheduled and approved by the facility in advance; approved overtime is paid at 1.5 times your hourly rate.
Call-back- Call-Back pay applies when you are asked to return to the facility after hours for an emergency, including on weekends and holidays.
