Ambassador Personnel is actively recruiting an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager for a manufacturing client in the Gaffney, SC area. This is a direct-hire opportunity with a stable organization. This organization is a global manufacturer specializing in automotive interior textiles.
This role will work with management to ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental procedures while making every effort to reduce workplace incidents and associated costs. The EHS Manager will also develop new policies and maintain existing programs to align with current industry standards.
What You’ll Do:
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, and safety standards at all times
- Ensure awareness of safety concerns across the organization and address issues as they arise
- Assist in planning and implementing safety policies and procedures in compliance with OSHA, DOT, and other regulatory requirements
- Create and maintain all safety files and records
- Perform safety surveys and inspections and prepare reports with recommendations for corrective or preventative actions
- Conduct post-incident investigations and report findings to leadership
- Stay current on safety regulations and best practices through training and continued education
- Plan and conduct safety training for new hires and current employees
- Develop, evaluate, and update safety programs in accordance with company policy
- Create and present reports and documentation for management and external stakeholders as needed
- Maintain environmental records as required by law
- Serve as a point of contact with local, state, and federal agencies regarding EHS
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years of related experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Required: Experience working with OSHA, MSHA, DOT, and EPA regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general systems knowledge
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Ability to multitask and work with little to no supervision
- Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed
