The Opportunity
The Ag/Commercial Administrative Assistant will assist customers both in person and by phone, while providing essential administrative support to loan officers through daily tasks and the organization and maintenance of loan files. A successful candidate will be task-oriented, organized, personable, and be able to assist customers with their banking needs. This role can be full-time or part-time, with hours to be determined through discussion.
Count On To:
- Answer the phone line in a prompt, friendly manner
- customers in person or by phone to assist in their needs. Build and maintain customer relationships in cooperation with officers.
- File, build, and process loans and supporting documentation for credit files
- Scan files into the digital loan file system
- Mail past due/loan maturity notices and process payment received and loan advance requests
- Assist Loan Officers with administrative work such as contacting customers for information, creating reports, data entry, correspondence, etc.
- Support the loan origination process by coordinating related documentation
- Maintain the tickler system for miscellaneous items needed
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge and Skills
- One year of business school or six to 12 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Write simple correspondence
- Apply common sense and understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
- Knowledge in bank deposit products; ability to cross-sell
- Communicate effectively with customers and loan officers
- Knowledge of Microsoft office applications, core processing, and loan software
