Description

Join Amazon's Global Logistics Supply Chain Design team to build innovative cross-border transportation solutions that connect customers across all seven continents. In this role, you will manage end-to-end carrier deployment projects, integrating third-party (3P) carriers into Amazon's global transportation network while optimizing cost and delivery speed for millions of customers worldwide.

As a Supply Chain Manager II, you will convert business needs into technical requirements, influence project prioritization, and manage carrier deployment projects from conception through operational transition. You will collaborate with technical teams, operations partners, and external carriers to design and implement supply chain solutions that enable sellers to ship cross-border efficiently. This position offers the opportunity to set new standards in global logistics and directly impact how Amazon delivers freight across the globe.

Key job responsibilities

  • Launch and ramp up new supply chain solutions, ensuring successful integration into Amazon's transportation network
  • Monitor performance metrics and communicate project status updates to senior leadership
  • Stabilize operations post-launch and transition programs to operational teams
  • Create and execute detailed project plans with clear milestones, timelines, and testing protocols
  • Analyze data using Excel and SQL to assess performance against goals and identify improvement opportunities
  • Collaborate with technical, non-technical, and operations teams globally to gather requirements and establish project scope

A day in the life

You will start your day reviewing program metrics and addressing any operational challenges that have arose. Throughout the day, you will collaborate with teams across multiple time zones, including software engineers, product managers, logistics providers, and operations teams. You will lead project meetings to drive key decisions, analyze performance data to identify trends, and work on process improvements that enhance the seller and customer experience.

Your work may include developing reporting dashboards, strategizing with stakeholders on program enhancements, creating executive presentations that highlight program achievements and opportunities, or troubleshooting technical integration issues with carrier partners. You will balance strategic planning with tactical execution, ensuring projects stay on track while maintaining focus on long-term supply chain optimization.
