Key job responsibilities
As Sr. UX Researcher, you will own end-to-end research initiatives that drive strategic outcomes for shoppers and merchants in multichannel commerce and supply chain. You will apply diverse methodological approaches to address complex business challenges, streamline every stage from goal-setting to insight synthesis, and exercise sound judgment in selecting appropriate research techniques. You will convert intricate data into clear, actionable recommendations that inform product choices. You will uncover market opportunities and communicate customer pain points with clarity while delivering evidence-backed guidance.
You will harness AI-powered research capabilities that accelerate timelines from hours to seconds, producing rigorous findings through persuasive documentation and genuine user testimony. You will demonstrate research influence on product priorities and design outcomes to cross-functional collaborators. You will develop materials that connect with varied audiences from engineering teams to executive leadership and foster stakeholder consensus around customer understanding that transforms the merchant experience.
You will democratize research by partnering with program managers to enable weekly research operations and user sessions, making insights accessible across the organization. Your research will affect how millions of merchants globally navigate Amazon's multichannel commerce and fulfillment tools, influencing products used by brands and businesses across diverse markets.
About the team
Amazon's Multichannel Commerce and Fulfillment (MCCF) team builds commerce and supply-chain solutions that enable businesses of all sizes to grow both on and off Amazon. The MCCF UX team brings Amazon's advanced capabilities to address the commerce and supply-chain needs of global enterprises and small businesses alike. Supply Chain by Amazon is a fully automated set of supply chain services that gets products from manufacturers to customers around the world. It offers a complete end-to-end solution, Amazon Managed Service, that keeps products in stock, provides faster and more reliable shipping, and significantly lowers costs, simplifying supply chain operations of customers.
MCCF Design team primarily operates out of Amazon’s offices in Seattle and New York. The team consists of User Researchers, UX Designers, Visual Designers and UX Program Managers. The team is broadly focused on designing experiences for shoppers and merchants.. This role will focus on designing business applications for merchants of all sizes - large global enterprises to small-medium businesses.
Basic Qualifications
- 5 years of proven success leading User Research projects with demonstrated impact experience
- 5 years of hands-on work with: field research, ethnography, lab-based user testing, remote testing, paper prototype testing, iterative prototype testing, concept testing, and survey design experience
- Bachelor's degree in HCDE, Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, or a related field
- Experience in leading User Research projects with demonstrated impact
- Experience with all aspects of research (study design, recruiting, moderation, analysis, reporting)
- Experience with behavioral data collection, quantitative data analysis, and statistics
- Have a portfolio demonstrating past work experience and deliverables (e.g., study plans, reports, personas)
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Human Factors, HCDE, Cognitive Psychology or equivalent
- Experience in a technical field (software development, network development, IT, other related)
- Experience with UX Research in non-US markets
- Experience working in a highly Agile/Scrum environment

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
