What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr. Program Manager - Compliance, Amazon Shipping position at Amazon?
Description
Amazon Shipping is building Amazon's next $100B business. To get there, we need to move what customers need moved: dangerous goods, heavy and bulky items, regulated materials. As a Sr. Program Manager, you own the programs that make this possible across our network.
You drive initiatives that span regions, teams, and technology domains. Your analysis informs investment decisions. Your execution plans turn regulatory complexity into operational capability. When shipping regulations evolve, you adapt our processes. When new delivery challenges emerge, you build the programs that address them.
This role covers a broad portfolio: dangerous goods compliance, delivery speed programs (air, intermodal, coincidence optimization), heavy and bulky shipping (AMXL), and community programs (AITC). You coordinate across Operations, Legal, Technology, and Commercial teams to launch and scale these capabilities.
Success demands regulatory knowledge, operational rigor, and the ability to drive alignment across teams that don't report to you.
Key job responsibilities
We are NOVA, a technical product organization that incubates and grows new revenue-generating businesses for Amazon Shipping. We prove which capabilities, customer segments, and integration models become the next ecosystems: turning strategic initiatives into scalable products, winning enterprise customers through bespoke technical solutions, enabling large cohorts to adopt through integrator platforms and API infrastructure.
Every capability we build makes our network stronger, faster, more efficient. Compliance enables growth. It unlocks new customer segments and expands what shippers accomplish with Amazon.
