At Amazon, we're working to be the most customer-centric company on earth. To get there, we need exceptionally talented, bright, and driven people.

The Worldwide Sustainability (WWS) organization capitalizes on Amazon’s scale and speed to build a more resilient and sustainable company. We manage our social and environmental impacts globally, and drive solutions that enable our customers, businesses, and the world to become more sustainable.

As part of the Worldwide Environment team, Amazon's Worldwide Carbon team is dedicated to working across the company with our business units to make operational changes to accelerate solutions and decarbonize our businesses in service of The Climate Pledge.

The Supplier Decarbonization team is looking for an experienced leader to architect and scale Amazon's supplier Carbon-Free Energy (CFE) program. This individual will develop and implement strategies to enable thousands of suppliers to access clean electricity and take measurable decarbonization action. In this builder role, you will lead this important supplier-facing initiative from inception to execution together with our Sustainability Solutions and Global Clean Energy team to develop supplier pathways and help suppliers navigate regional dynamics.

This role requires a strategic leader who will work at the intersection of energy strategy, supplier engagement and enterprise-scale execution and working closely with Amazon tech teams, business units and suppliers, to create a global supplier enablement framework that drives meaningful emissions reductions through clean electricity adoption.

Key job responsibilities

  • Architect and evolve the global supplier CFE program strategy, including pathway design across supplier maturity segments and regional energy contexts
  • Develop supplier engagement models and pathway routing logic based on maturity and market access
  • Create program governance structure and operating model across WWS, GCE, and BUs
  • Lead selection, contracting, and management of strategic energy service providers and implementation partners
  • Partner with energy procurement teams to structure agreements with preferred partners and performance metrics
  • Develop and execute market expansion strategy across priority regions (US, EU, China, India, Vietnam)
  • Drive cost optimization through demand aggregation and scale benefits
  • Engage with senior leadership on program strategy, resourcing and progress against decarbonization goals
  • Coordinate with Public Policy on market access and regulatory engagement
  • Build relationships with key suppliers to gather feedback, iterate program design, and drive adoption at scale.
