Description

Are you passionate about availability and security? The Perimeter Protection organization at AWS helps protect customers of AWS and Amazon.com against DDoS attacks and web application threats. Customers rely on our four services, AWS Shield, AWS WAF, AWS Network Firewall, and AWS Firewall Manager, to protect application availability across their organization so they can focus on growing their business.

The AWS WAF team is looking for a Sr. Product Manager to help us build new services and improve our existing services for internal and external customers. Successful candidates will enjoy working in a collaborative, analytical, and fast-paced environment and are comfortable interacting with highly technical cross-functional teams. Candidates must have excellent analytical capabilities, be comfortable diving deep into data, have strong writing skills, and lead executive-level reviews. Candidates must have a track record of understanding customer needs and delivering technology solutions to address those needs. This is a highly visible position that will interact at all levels of the AWS business.

About the team
AWS WAF is a web application firewall that helps protect customer's web apps or APIs against common web exploits and bots that may affect availability, compromise security, or consume excessive resources. AWS WAF gives customers control over how traffic reaches their applications hosted on Amazon CloudFront, ALB, API Gateway, or AppSync by enabling them to create security rules that control bot traffic and block common attack patterns, such as SQL injection or cross-site scripting.

Preferred Qualifications

- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
- Experience working within teams delivering software products and features using agile methodologies
