Key job responsibilities
- Lead and develop cross-functional finance teams across the forward logistics chain, ensuring business strategy translates into both operational and financial results while providing hands-on management and support
- Own end-to-end P&L forecasting for forward logistics spend across multiple planning cycles, including operational and quarterly guidance cycles
- Establish and refine financial metrics that drive long-term free cash flow for Amazon Devices, reviewing data accuracy across operational manifests, accounting accruals, and cost estimates at all levels of detail
- Anticipate risks and scalability challenges to financial processes, surfacing issues proactively to leadership with data-backed recommendations and solutions
- Influence strategic decisions with senior business leaders by presenting financial analysis and recommendations that drive scalable, long-term growth and cost efficiency across the devices logistics network
A day in the life
In this role, you'll serve as the financial backbone for our Devices Global Logistics organization, which orchestrates the supply chain for Echo, Kindle, Fire TV, Ring, Blink, and emerging device programs. You'll work across specialized capabilities including rest-of-world transportation lanes, product launch services, and trade compliance support. Your day involves collaborating with operations teams to understand complex shipping decisions, then modeling those decisions into financial forecasts and P&L impact. You'll lead your finance team through multiple planning cycles, diving into data quality across operational manifests and cost estimates. You'll also spend time with senior business leaders, presenting data-backed recommendations that shape long-term logistics strategy. Beyond routine forecasting, you'll anticipate risks to our financial processes and surface solutions before issues escalate.
About the team
We are the financial stewards of Amazon Devices Global Logistics, functioning as a critical bridge between operations and product line finance owners. Our team calculates shipping costs for cost-saving initiatives, models strategic operational improvements, and translates complex logistics decisions into clear business impact. We support forward logistics spend forecasting across multiple planning cycles and deliver insights that inform month-end, quarter-end, and strategic planning decisions. You'll work alongside operations leaders, finance partners across product lines, and senior business stakeholders who rely on our insights to make decisions that affect the entire devices ecosystem. Together, we're building financial processes and systems that scale with Amazon's growth while maintaining accuracy and integrity across import freight, tariffs, and outbound shipping.
Basic Qualifications
- 12 years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 10 years of positions that require analysis and reporting financial results experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field
- 5 years of hiring, leading and developing teams experience
Preferred Qualifications
- 5 years of working with senior staff (e.g. c-suite) experience
- MBA, or CPA

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
