Amazon is looking for a skilled and experienced storyteller to join our Operations Internal Communications (OIC) team. The right candidate will join a team of content creators telling compelling stories for and about our 1 million Operations employees in the U.S and Canada, who fulfill orders and deliver smiles for Amazon customers from Vancouver to Vero Beach.
The person in this role will prioritize telling people-first stories that spotlight our hard-working workforce. Our storytelling helps to keep our associates informed, motivated, and feeling appreciated.

Operations Internal Communications is a team of 100 communicators across the Americas, Europe, Asia Pacific, and Middle East/ Africa, sharing news updates, need-to-know information, and pride-building storytelling with more than 1.5 million Amazon Operations employees across the world.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. - You have a passion for storytelling and driving culture through clear, compelling, concise writing, editing, video storytelling, and multi-channel execution. You can turn raw ideas, random observations, and your own curiosity into cohesive narratives.
- You are innately curious, showcasing an ability to unearth and tell human stories that establish emotional connections between Amazonians and the company, and with each other.
- You have a strong knowledge of English grammar, usage, and AP Style, and can flawlessly apply them to your writing and editing – and those of your colleagues.
- You are a team player who seeks the expertise of fellow communicators and subject matter experts to hone messages on behalf of our employee audience.

Basic Qualifications
- 4 years of professional non-internship marketing experience
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional programs or marketing campaigns from concept to completion
- Experience in brand identity and voice development
- Portfolio of five published writing samples is required.
- Experience as a writer focused on internal/employee communications that map back to business objectives, while executing a specific written tone of voice.
- Experience as a video storyteller coordinating and directing a film crew on-site, overseeing a video edit, and producing a clear narrative that’s visually appealing while staying on message.
- Demonstrated success managing multiple deliverables at one time to meet deadlines.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in a highly matrixed work environment, taking leading projects and deliverables among varied stakeholders.
- Expertise creating content for audiences on a range of digital channels, including social media platforms.
