We are seeking a creative, goal-oriented Business Intelligence Engineer to join our Business Intelligence (BI) & Analytics team. At Devices Global Logistics (DGL), we provide transportation and logistics services that deliver a disruptive value and make it easy for stakeholders to sell our products. We are looking for a BIE who will enable DGL mission through implementation and support of business intelligence solutions. This role is both strategic and hands-on. It requires an individual with excellent analytical abilities, knowledge of business intelligence solutions, as well as strong business acumen and the ability to work with quantitative and business teams. This person will support DGL business by owning complex reporting, automating reporting solutions, data intelligence products, and ultimately provide insights and drivers for decision making.
The successful candidate will be a self-starter comfortable with ambiguity, with strong attention to detail, an ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment, and driven by a desire to innovate in this space.
Key job responsibilities
- Work closely with multiple business teams to understand their challenges and provide data/analysis for better decision making. This will require data gathering and manipulation, synthesis and modeling, problem solving, and communication of insights and recommendations.
- Learn and understand a broad range of Amazon’s data resources and know how, when, and which to use.
- Assist in the development of key metrics and performance indicators to measure overall performance and provide foundation for continuous improvement.
- Build self-service reporting platforms, establishing automated processes for large scale data analysis.
- Define and build metrics to uncover new insights and formulate recommendations that improve productivity.
- Manage the local data infra-structure, as well as work with Global teams to assure data is consistent and accurate.
- Simplify and automate reporting solutions.
Basic Qualifications
- 3 years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
- 2 years of SQL, ETL or Oracle experience
- 2 years of processing large, multi-dimensional datasets from multiple sources experience
- 2 years of performing statistical analysis experience
- 2 years of developing automated reporting experience
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
- Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab
- Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift
- Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets
- Experience working with Data & AI related technologies, including, but not limited to, AI/ML, GenAI, Analytics, Database, and/or Storage

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
