Description

The AWS Cloud Logistics team is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Supply Chain Specialist in Florence KY to manage the day to day warehousing operations for the fastest growing industries in the world while working on projects to further enhance our operation. An ideal candidate has a background in logistics and excellent data driven problem resolution skills. They have the ability to work with external partners/influence others, pull and analyze data with ease, drive process improvements, standardize processes, and eliminate the root cause of defects within the current systems. This job will require solid communication skills while having the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.

- This position is for weekend support with a schedule of 7AM - 5:30PM Thursday to Sunday or Saturday to Tuesday. 


Key job responsibilities
- Engage in daily tactical communication with external vendors (Logistics Service Providers) and internal customers
- Leading large projects independently
- Travel to audit warehouses throughout NALA (mostly domestic USA)
- Analyze data from numerous databases (using Excel, SQL and/or other data management systems) and perform reporting and analysis as needed
- Publish performance metrics to assist with driving business results
- Quickly and efficiently understand the business impact of observed trends and make decisions based on available data
- Identify and eliminate root causes of defects in order to drive efficiency in Amazon’s transportation operations
- Work with multiple stakeholder teams in the Supply Chain to jointly solve problems and implementing standards
- Work within time constraints to meet critical business needs

Basic Qualifications

- Travel up to 30% of the time
- 4 years of program or project management experience
- 4 years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
- 4 years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
- 4 years of supply chain experience
- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

Preferred Qualifications

- 4 years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $77,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $141,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
