Duties

• Develop and implement age-appropriate dance curricula that incorporate movement, rhythm, and creative arts tailored for toddlers
• Lead energetic dance classes that promote physical activity, coordination, and self-expression in young children
• Incorporate elements of visual & performing arts, choreography, theater experience, and music into engaging lesson plans
• Foster a positive classroom environment through effective behavior management and childhood development techniques
• Collaborate with parents and caregivers to communicate progress and encourage ongoing participation in arts activities
• Utilize classroom management skills to maintain a safe, inclusive space conducive to learning and creativity
• Integrate additional creative activities such as basic sewing or photography projects to enrich the artistic experience

Experience

• Prior experience teaching youth programs or early childhood education, especially preschool or toddler-aged children
• Strong background in teaching arts such as ballet, theater, music, or dance with a focus on creative arts instruction
• Knowledge of curriculum development and lesson planning tailored for early learners in a classroom setting
• Demonstrated ability to manage classroom behavior effectively while fostering a fun and motivating environment
• Skills in choreography, movement facilitation, and working with children to develop their motor skills through dance
• Experience working with children with diverse needs or special education requirements is a plus
• Familiarity with photography, sewing, or culinary arts can enhance the variety of creative activities offered
