As a Behavioral Health Technician, you will play a key role in supporting clients throughout their treatment journey. Responsibilities include assisting with admissions, coordinating transportation, answering client questions, and helping individuals adjust to daily program routines. Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 year of experience in the mental health field or related college coursework (preferred)
- Strong commitment to maintaining a safe environment
- Professional demeanor and strong work ethic
- Valid Drivers License
- Build and maintain positive, professional relationships with clients
- Assist with admissions, orientations, and intake processes
- Maintain clear and consistent communication during client admissions
- Complete accurate and timely shift reports and checklists
- Facilitate orientation groups and support client engagement
- De-escalate situations and assist clients experiencing challenges, including those leaving treatment AMA/ACA
- Maintain awareness of client whereabouts through regular headcounts
- Monitor family visits to ensure safety and compliance
- Support medical staff during medication pass (if applicable)
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of all facilities and common areas
- Participate in scheduled staff meetings and trainings
- Exercise sound judgment and seek support when needed
- Protect client confidentiality in compliance with all federal, state, and organizational privacy standards
