Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide clinical supervision and guidance to clinical staff in accordance with state and organizational requirements.
- Conduct routine chart audits to ensure documentation accuracy, compliance, and quality standards are met.
- Complete clinical documentation reviews, corrections, and sign-offs as assigned.
- Monitor compliance with ASAM criteria, treatment planning standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop, coordinate, and facilitate staff trainings related to clinical documentation, compliance, ethics, trauma-informed care, and evidence-based practices.
- Assist with onboarding and ongoing education for clinical team members.
- Identify documentation deficiencies and provide coaching and corrective guidance to staff.
- Collaborate with leadership to improve clinical workflows and documentation processes.
- Maintain current knowledge of state, federal, and accreditation standards related to addiction treatment services.
- Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
- Support preparation for audits, licensing reviews, and accreditation surveys.
- Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries in accordance with HIPAA and ethical standards.
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related behavioral health field preferred.
- Preferred licensure includes:
- Licensed Social Worker (LSW/LLSW)
- Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW)
- Master of Social Work (MSW)
- Or comparable master-level licensure/certification in behavioral health.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in substance use disorder or behavioral health treatment preferred.
- Experience with clinical supervision, staff training, and documentation auditing strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of ASAM criteria, treatment planning, and clinical documentation standards.
- Knowledge of accreditation and regulatory requirements within addiction treatment settings.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Proficient in electronic health records (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Primarily office and clinical environment.
- May require sitting, standing, walking, and computer work for extended periods.
- Occasional travel between program locations may be required.
