Summary:

We are seeking a motivated, hands-on individual with an interest in the behind-the-scenes operations of the luxury floral and event industry. The ideal candidate understands that every task—regardless of size—contributes to the success of the entire team and takes pride in completing each responsibility with accuracy, efficiency, and a positive attitude.

Success in this role requires initiative, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to pitch in wherever needed to support the team. The Production Assistant must have strong attention to detail, organization, communication, adaptability, and the ability to perform physical labor in a fast-paced production environment.

This position is essential to the day-to-day operations of our floral department, supporting production, organization, and logistics. This role does not include floral design responsibilities and is not intended to serve as a pathway to a floral designer position.

Key Responsibilities:

· Assist with the processing, care, and handling of fresh products according to quality standards and established procedures.

· Receive, inspect, unpack, organize, and store incoming supplies, hard goods, and materials.

· Assist with preparing mechanics, building structures, and supporting design production.

· Maintain clean, organized, safe, and efficient coolers, processing areas, design floors, and warehouse spaces, including general studio upkeep.

· Safely handle fragile, valuable, and specialty items with care.

· Assist with preparing, packing, labeling, loading, and unloading arrangements and materials, ensuring all items are accounted for and properly secured for transport.

· Assist with tracking equipment and supplies to and from events.

· Support the floral design team and other departments as needed.

Requirements:

· Ability to take direction, solve problems, work independently, manage multiple tasks, and adapt to shifting priorities.

· Team-oriented, hands-on attitude with a willingness to learn, accept feedback, and take on any task.

· Fluent in English with the ability to read, write, count, and accurately identify numbers.

· Ability to regularly lift and move 50 lbs., stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive manual labor.

· Comfortable working at heights and climbing ladders and lifts.

· Ability to work in coolers, warehouses, and outdoor environments with varying temperatures and noise levels.

· Reliable attendance and punctuality, with flexibility to adjust schedules on short notice, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

· Confidence using power tools and heavy machinery preferred.

· Previous warehouse, event, hospitality experience and/or knowledge of flowers and plants is a plus but not required.

· Must be local to the DMV area.

Starting pay based on experience and qualifications.

Pay: From $19.50 per hour
