Mission Description
We are looking for an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) to lead part qualification and supplier process validation for electromechanical components used in complex medical and industrial systems. You will drive APQP/PPAP activities, assess supplier manufacturing readiness, and ensure all supplied components meet engineering, regulatory, and quality system requirements.
This role requires strong cross-functional collaboration, a deep understanding of supplier quality methodologies, and the ability to influence and guide suppliers toward compliance and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
APQP / PPAP Leadership
- Lead supplier part qualification by managing the full APQP/PPAP lifecycle and ensuring robust, repeatable manufacturing processes.
- Review and approve supplier documentation: Process Flow, PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA, Process Validation (IQ/OQ/PQ), FAI, PSW, etc.
- Provide structured and actionable feedback to close documentation and process gaps efficiently.
- Validate supplier manufacturing readiness against engineering specifications, QMS requirements, and regulatory standards.
- Ensure complete documentation, traceability, and data integrity throughout all qualification stages.
- Maintain and archive all quality deliverables using Windchill or equivalent PLM tools.
- Partner with Engineering, Procurement, PIE, Production, and Receiving Inspection to ensure part/assembly compliance.
- Support qualification of plastics, sheet metal, PCBs, cables & harnesses, machined parts, and other electromechanical components.
- Monitor supplier performance using KPIs, delivery and quality metrics, PPM levels, and quality scorecards.
- Lead 8D, RCA, CAPA processes to ensure lasting supplier performance improvements.
- Participate in supplier business reviews and represent quality requirements and risks.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of supplier quality strategies, qualification processes, and inspection standards.
- Promote best practices in APQP, process validation, and manufacturing quality.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing Engineering, or related.
- 4–8 years of experience in Supplier Quality or Manufacturing Quality Engineering within regulated industries (medical device, aerospace, automotive, etc.).
Strong knowledge of:
- APQP, PPAP, FAI, Process Validation (IQ/OQ/PQ)
- FMEA, SPC, MSA, 8D, Six Sigma
- Manufacturing processes: metals, plastics, PCBs, electromechanical assemblies
- PLM/ERP/QMS systems (e.g., Windchill)
- Excellent communication and supplier-facing abilities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple qualification activities in parallel
- High attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Hybrid role with approximately 70% on-site presence
- Daily interaction with engineering, procurement, production, suppliers, and quality leadership
- Occasional supplier visits as required
