EXERCISE PHYSIOLOGIST
We are seeking a knowledgeable and motivated Exercise Physiologist to join our cardiovascular team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for performing, monitoring, and evaluating a variety of cardiac stress tests while ensuring patient safety and delivering high-quality care in a clinical setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and monitor a variety of cardiac stress tests, including treadmill, stress echo and pharmacologic stress testing and stress echo
- Continuously assess patient condition before, during, and after testing procedures
- Monitor vital signs, ECG rhythms, and patient responses to exercise or pharmacologic agents
- Recognize abnormal test results and respond appropriately, including initiating emergency protocols when necessary
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining testing processes and ensuring informed consent
- Accurately document test results and patient data in the electronic medical record
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain and calibrate stress testing equipment in accordance with established protocols
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, safety, and infection control standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, or a related field
- Certification as a Clinical Exercise Physiologist (ACSM-CEP), American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) Exercise Physiologist (ASCM-EP) preferred
- Current BLS and ACLS required
- Strong knowledge of cardiovascular physiology, ECG interpretation and stress testing protocols
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
- Ability to respond effectively in emergency situations
Salary : $45,736 - $67,152
