CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT - CARDIOLOGY
We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our growing cardiology team. In this role, you will support physicians and nursing staff in delivering high-quality cardiovascular care in a fast-paced clinical environment. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, efficient, and committed to excellence in both clinical support and customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with patient intake, including vital signs (blood pressure, heart rate, oxygen saturation, weight, and height)
- Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and diagnostic testing (e.g., EKGs, stress tests)
- Perform EKGs and assist with cardiac monitoring as directed
- Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Maintain exam rooms, ensuring they are clean, stocked, and ready for patient care
- Assist physicians and nurses during patient exams and minor procedures
- Provide patient education and reinforce instructions as directed by clinical staff
- Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety at all times
- Follow infection control, safety, and HIPAA guidelines
- Support front office or administrative duties as needed
Requirements:
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of Texas
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience preferred (cardiology experience a plus)
- Experience performing EKGs preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in EMR systems and basic computer skills
Salary : $39,137 - $56,932
